2004 Archived News for The Thomas Ranch
December 2004: is here. The Holiday season is upon us. Now is the time that The Thomas Ranch is wanting all of you to know that we wish you the happiest of holidays!!! No snow as of yet but we are still hoping. Casey has been doing a lot of seasonal cooking. Russell has gone Christmas light crazy. An update was that yes we did get snow but only one day of it. It lasted about 3 days and then was gone. It was great to have it for Christmas. Santa was really good to everyone this year. Bless everyone and may everyone who reads this have a super year.
November 2004: The Thomas Ranch has started the work on the new Rock Quarry. We just received our new shaker and conveyor for the quarry. We hope that this will take off and we will be doing a lot of business with everyone. Thanksgiving was a great day for all with the family, meeting in Oklahoma this year from the Ranch and from Michigan. Russell's wild Turkey was even good too.
October 2004: Hunting season is here. Russell had an Elk walk within 25 yards of him. Without his Elk tag in his pocket he let it walk right by. He did end up taking a Turkey with his bow. Halloween is right around the corner. We are looking forward to the break in all the work.
September 2004: The Anderson's "Battle" for their house is over. It was long and hard but they finally won. Sorry for not having any updates, but the last 90 days have been long and hard. The Thomas Ranch is doing great. We had a cow named "SCAR." She had been attacked by a Mountain Lion when she was a calf, hence the name. After many battles of trying to heal her side she was sent to stay with the Anderson's for tending.
May 2004: A lot of cleaning is going on around the Ranch this month! There is a trip for the
"Anderson Bunch" in June. They will be heading out to Oklahoma for a while. It is a sad moment to see them go, but we all know where home is. We will all return and become a family again. This is a temporary move for them. The Thomas Ranch has survived Wars, Drought, Stock Markets, and Death. This will not end the Ranch, but make it even stronger! This website will become the link to these two great families and serve as our bond. With all our Love we will miss each other.
April 2004: The Thomas Ranch would like to take a moment and thank all those who are serving their country and defending the United States of America. Thanks to all of you!! The Thomas Ranch supports our troops. On another note, the snow has gone and the spring rain has started. We planted our Bio-Logic field in December, and are enjoying it now that the rain is here. The horses have found it and are keeping it pretty well trimmed down, but the deer are also enjoying it. The Thomas Ranch is looking forward to its own Soldier returning from overseas. Welcome Home Russ.
Feb 2004: Russell proposed to Casey over our local Radio Station, 92.3 KWCD. He not only won the Valentines Day Contest they were having but he also won over Casey’s heart. Everyone is looking forward to the upcoming Wedding.
Dec. 2003: The most recent news on the Ranch is that we are enjoying the current rain after a long drought, and soon hopefully snow. We are preparing for the graduation of one of our top Ranch Hands. Good Job Ashley!
The Thomas Ranch has replaced a water pump that brings water out to "The 40". The last one was broken during a cold front that cracked the bottom casing on it.
